Weekly Wrap-up, April 30th – May 4th

We were out on the west coast all week – and as I’m writing this wrap-up a day late, we’re still here.  We’ve been scouting, shooting and traveling for the past seven days, working on the advertising project that’s kept us busy for the last few weeks. Starting out in LA for a few days and then driving up the California coast to San Francisco for another set of shoots isn’t a bad way to spend a week. Keep reading to see what else we were up to…

After an early flight out to LAX, we headed out into the country in search of landscapes to shoot. Sometimes you just need to pull off the side of the road to shoot some wild poppies.

One of our shoots this week involved a special delivery…

Of course, once the piano was in place, our art director James had to do his best Ray Charles impression… it’s pretty damn good.

Chris and the team are reviewing a test shot, trying to work out all the details before one of our subjects sits in.

Towards the end of the week, Chris and I made the long but epic drive along the coast from LA to San Francisco, stopping along the way to shoot landscapes and plates. Here’s a shot for now, but expect a whole blog post from that adventure in the near future…

As far as what you may have missed this week on the internet:

 - We shared some photos & behind the scenes from our shoot with Hoodie Allen earlier this year

 - Drew Hendrix from Red River Paper answered the meaning of life

 - Heather Elder and our friend Ken Zane solved mysteries on her blog

 - A Photo Editor has a great write up of how a photographer lands a rep

Last but not least…

Yup. In-N-Out Burger happened. We had to, we’re on the west coast. And it was delicious.
