Weekly Wrap-up, November 14th-18th
It’s been another good week here in and around Philly. You might be wondering about that shot above, and I’ll be the first to say, we definitely don’t have views like that around here on the east coast. You’re looking at the sun rising in northern California, where Chris is currently shooting a new body of personal work. He’s flying solo on this shoot, with the rest of the crew holding down the fort in Philadelphia. Keep reading to see what else we’ve been up to this week…

We started off the week with panoramic views on a quick editorial shoot in Bethlehem Pennsylvania.

Tuesday brought the arrival of a new toy for the studio – a giant lightbox…

After working through a few test prints, here you have it, the first ever back-lit Crisman landscape. If you’re curious, Epson makes an inkjet semi-opaque paper called Epson DisplayTrans.

Looks like some wildlife might be crossing into Chris’s frame in this shot, most likely from the Point Reyes National Seashore in northern California. I’m excited for Chris to get back so I can get a peek at what he was shooting… it’ll probably be a little while before the images are finished, but when they are, we’ll make sure to post them on the blog for everyone to see.
As far as what you may have missed this week on the internet:
- We released a few new landscape photos from our shoot in the deserts of California
- We blogged about shooting fellow Philly indie rockers Dr. Dog
Last but not least…

Chris will stop at nothing to get the shot – even if that means trampling fall foliage.
