chris crisman arizona enviormental portraiture photo

Greetings from sunny and exceedingly warm Arizona. We’re down here for a few days on assignment scouting and shooting for an editorial project. After our shoot, it’s time for a red-eye back to the east coast for even more shooting later in the week. Needless to say, I’ve only got a short blog post for today and a few quick photos to share. Enjoy!

It’s been another busy week, shooting in Philly, NYC and DC. We’re on the road now, headed back from Washington (stuck in traffic) after wrapping up a shoot in US Capitol building. That was probably the only time I’ll ever use the men’s room of the Senate Appropriations committee. Not a bad deal.

This week also brought the Crisman Photo 3rd quarter party, a night (shown above) of celebration and an awesome show from the band Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. Keep reading for a few more photos and some videos from this week.

Just finished putting together a handful of landscape shots from my trip to Alaska earlier this year. The photos barely do justice to the amazing natural beauty. You can see them larger on crismanphoto.com in the Landscapes Collection. Enjoy!

We’ve been on a run of editorial shooting this week – facing 100° heat, massive mosquitoes, angry building superintendents, crazy lawyers, and uncooperative weather, but we’ve prevailed and the weekend is finally here. Keep reading for a few more photos of our adventures this week.

Just got back to Philadelphia from a project that brought us down to Port Arthur, Texas. Autumn may be starting to creep up upon us here in the northeast, but Texas still brought the heat, with Chris and I shooting in temperatures over 100 degrees.

It was well worth it though, we had a chance to spend the day photographing a truly inspiring subject for an editorial assignment. I wish I could share more details, but the magazine isn’t out yet and we’ve got to keep things under wraps – for now. I can share a handful of behind the scenes photos from our shoot, and you can find them if you keep reading.

Here’s an outtake from a Philadelphia Magazine shoot in early August. This is the Jermel Johnson from the Pennsylvania Ballet. We clearly have similar athletic skill sets. Jermel is an extremely talented artist and athlete, the Pennsylvania Ballet has more information on him if you’re curious.
